Juniata County Industrial Park
The Juniata County Industrial Park is located just outside Mifflintown and perfectly located adjacent to Route 22/322.  The present Park has four lots remaining available for businesses to locate.  The lots are in Phase 3 of the Park which was built in 1998.  The shovel ready lots are on the average of 3 acres with an average price of only $25,000 per acre with all infrastructure to the sites.  
In spring and summer of 2021 Juniata Business & Industrial will have the 1st phase of a new Business Park built which will be adjacent to the present Industrial Park.  The new park will have 12 shovel ready lots ranging between from 1.2 to 3.3 acres.  The new sites will have all the infrastructure including Fiber-Optic internet and probable natural gas availability. 

KOZ – Keystone Opportunity Zone 
The KOZ is a tax free incentive program.  Businesses buying land and locating in a KOZ will have most Township, County, School and State taxes waved for a specific period.  The four lots remaining in Phase 3 will be tax free through the end of 2023. Land in the new Business Park will be tax free through the 2028 year.

Location
Juniata County is situated in Central Pennsylvania, about midway between State College and Harrisburg. Its convenient location allows businesses to service customers throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and other Mid-Atlantic States. U.S. Route 322 bisects the County to reach points North and South, allowing connectivity to the East and West, connecting to Interstate Routes 80, 81, and 99. Mifflintown, the County Seat, is less than an hour from Harrisburg and State College.  The County is also within two to three hours of Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Baltimore and just three and a half hours from New York City.  
Juniata County has a workforce that is hard working, diversified, loyal, and dedicated.  Pennsylvania State University is a short 45 miles from Juniata County. Bucknell University, Susquehanna University, and Juniata College are within 45 minutes.  A business will find the low taxes, local government bodies and officials eager to work with you.  The County is a peaceful area with friendly residents and has a low crime rate.  Although the County is small it is blessed with almost 70 churches for people of faith.
Juniata County covers 394 square miles of farmland and forest. Beautiful scenery near the Juniata River shows the county to be sparsely populated with an average population of only 57 people per square mile. Farming is a major employer while the County has many chicken, turkey and swine growing facilities.  Empire Kosher Poultry is the largest employer in Juniata County.
Every spring and summer folks head out to the Juniata River for a little fun in the sun. Come enjoy some of the best smallmouth bass fishing you will find anywhere in America. After a hard day at work or play, relax in our delightful country setting.  In the fall and winter hunting is a major recreation.  Juniata County is also home to the premier dirt track racing facility in the country at Port Royal Speedway.
